About Maurice Nicoleau

A licensed master social worker, Maurice Nicoleau has been studying psychoanalysis and psychotherapy at the Adelphi University Derner School of Psychology since 2021. In addition to his active membership in the Adelphi Society for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy, Maurice Nicoleau has been treating patients in a clinical setting at Union Square Psychotherapy in New York City since September of 2022. Highlights of Maurice Nicoleau’s career include caring for 15 to 20 adult mental health patients at Queens Hospital Center. In addition to diagnosing and treating these patients in a clinical setting, he conducted home visits as a member of Queens Hospital Center’s Mobile Crisis Unit. As an intern social worker with John Bowne High School in Flushing, New York, he developed treatment and behavioral support plans for students with a broad range of mental health conditions. In his free time, Mr. Nicoleau enjoys snowboarding and scuba diving. He also likes reading the novels of bestselling author Pat Conroy.
